2021 ENERGY STAR® Market Leader Award
Philadelphia, PA, June 24, 2021 – Innova Building Advisors, LLC is proud to announce that it has received the 2021 ENERGY STAR® Market Leader Award from The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (Climate Protection Partnerships Division) – ENERGY STAR program for its outstanding efforts to promote energy efficient residential construction and help homebuyers and residents experience the quality, comfort, and value that come with living in an ENERGY STAR certified home or apartment. In 2020, Innova Building Advisors, LLC contributed 338 ENERGY STAR certified homes and/or apartments, all of which were affordable housing projects funded by the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.

South Point Groundbreaking Highlights

South Point is a development of (15) new affordable, for-sale, single-family townhouses in Point Breeze, priced to be affordable to families earning between 55% and 100% of Area Median Income.

Innova Highlighted in Philly.com Article on Affordable Housing
To Innova’s Allegretti, there are better ways to produce for-sale affordable housing. By tapping into the city’s existing programs, he was able to build 15 affordable units in Point Breeze that will sold for an average of $239,000. That price might seem high, but the housing is targeted to people earning between 80 percent and 120 percent of median income, about $53,000 to $80,000 for a couple. People earning less, in Allegretti’s view, will have a more difficult time financing new homes and will be less able to afford their upkeep. He also believes that “Philadelphia doesn’t really have an affordable housing problem. It has a housing quality problem,” and he supports programs that focus on fixing existing housing stock.

Sacred Heart Team Receives 2017 Sustainability Award
Innova is proud to be part of the team that earned the 2017 Sustainability Award from the Delaware Valley Green Building Council for Sacred Heart Residences. Innova served as the developer’s construction manager and energy services consultant, providing design guidance and building performance analytics for one of Pennsylvania’s first multi-family Passive House buildings.

Innova Featured in Workforce Housing Initiative
State and local officials announce the next phase in a plan to leverage vacant lots to build new housing affordable to middle-income people in rapidly appreciating neighborhoods. The Workforce Housing Initiative will encouraged balanced and equitable growth in Philadelphia and help preserve the middle class.
